DKNY’s Be Delicous fragrances might as well be called the mother of all fruit-flavored perfumes. The latest cocktail of sweet fruits to join the Delicious repertoire is DKNY Delicious Candy Apple. Judging by the name, this is candied apples galore!

DKNY Delicious Candy Apple Sweet Caramel

The green flacon is just like the original DKNY Be Delicious perfume. The juice inside, as expected, is a lot sweeter, the sugary sweet kind. Its candied sweetness features apples, pears, violet leaves, lily of the valley, vanilla, marshmallow and caramel. The one thing that sets Sweet Caramel apart from its parent is that the vanilla and marshmallow notes are very pronounced in the dry down. While I find this fragrance wearable, I would still pick the original Be Delicious over Sweet Caramel. The semblance to the original is striking but the longevity is not up to par.

DKNY Delicious Candy Apple Ripe Raspberry

Candy Apple Ripe Raspberry is juicy raspberries built around cola accords. The fruit notes are subdued and this fragrance is by far, the freshest Candy among the three. Florals (magnolia and peony) contribute to the fleeting lightness as the fragrance transitions from top to base. The delicate candied sweetness doesn’t hold much sillage and that applies to longevity as well. Ripe Raspberry is a nicely done summer fragrance. And yes, I’ll wear this one, no questions asked.

DKNY Delicious Candy Apple Juicy Berry

Candy Apple Juicy Berry is berries and fruits layered with woods and musk accords. It starts with sharp fruity notes at the top then progresses into a somewhat deep woodsy musk. If you’re familiar with how a currant-musk combination smells like, this is it. I would like to think that Candy Apple Juicy Berry is a paler version of the DKNY Delicious Nights but the overall composition doesn’t come any closer, unfortunately.
The DKNY Delicious Candy Apple Sweet Caramel, Juicy Berry and Ripe Raspberry fragrances are available in 50ml eau de parfum.
